Malam Muhammad Bello, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has ordered security forces to arrest the representatives of the Federal Housing Authority and the developers of the two-story building in Abuja that collapsed.
Umar Shuaibu, the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, informed journalists of this development during a briefing on Saturday.
He issued an arrest warrant for manslaughter against the developer, the FHA officers in charge of overseeing the development, the officer in charge of issuing the development permit, and the engineer supervising the development.
Shuaibu disclosed that the uncompleted building that collapsed two days ago at 6th Avenue in Gwarimpa Estate, trapped 24 persons, with three confirmed dead, while 21 persons have been rescued.
