According to reports, Chelsea and Manchester United are unconcerned about Napoli’s £107 million asking price for their prolific striker Victor Osimhen.
The ridiculous price tag Napoli has placed on Victor Osimhen, whom they are willing to sell in the summer of 2023, does not deter the two Premier League giants.
According to the Italian publication Napoli Magazine, Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly interested in Osimhen, and Napoli is reportedly scouting for potential replacements in case the 24-year-old Nigerian striker departs.
The Italian publication wrote:
Manchester United and Chelsea are not afraid of the amount that Aurelio De Laurentiis will ask for Osimhen, that is €120m (£107m). If the Nigerian striker goes to the Premier League, Giuntoli and his staff are already working on a couple of profiles.
On the other hand, ESPN reported on Friday that if Manchester United and Paris St-Germain want to sign Victor Osimhen this summer, they will have to pay at least £90 million in transfer fees.
This means that PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester United are the top contenders for the Nigerian international’s signature in the upcoming transfer window.
Osimhen left French club LOSC Lille for Italian club Napoli in the summer of 2020. Since then, the Nigerian international has grown as a forward while playing in Serie A.
In 20 appearances so far in the 2022-2023 season, the striker has four assists and 15 goals. He currently has the most goals in the Italian Serie A.
With his assistance, Napoli has topped Serie A and is on track to win their first Scudetto in 33 years. They have also advanced to the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, where they will face Eintracht Frankfurt.
