Cashless And Frustrated Nigerians Forcefully Break Open Bank Gate (Video)

Angered bank customers in Abuja were captured on camera forcing open the gate into the bank, and the video has been making the rounds on social media.

Due to the depreciating naira and the Central Bank of Nigeria’s cashless policy, Nigeria is currently experiencing economic hardship.

Videos posted on social media show irate customers making a scene in banks after being denied access to their money.

Additionally, POS vendors now charge up to 1,000 naira to get 5000 naira. The cash vendors assert that in order to access cash, they must get up very early and wait in a long line.

In the viral video, customers who seemed frustrated over their inability to access cash got violent and forcefully made their way into the bank.

They broke through the gates and made their way into the bank premises.
