The All Progressives Congress (APC) was mocked at a campaign rally in Katsina State, President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state after the crowd kept shouting ‘Atiku’ when the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, chanted ‘APC’ and ‘Nigeria’ during the event.
WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that the President, APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu; his running mate, Kashim Shettima; APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu; state Governor, Aminu Masari; and other prominent party leaders were present at the rally.
Tinubu gave Kastina residents reasons why the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should not be re-elected. He also promised to find a solution to “insecurity” in the country.
He stated that the president meant well for the country and that “16 years of the PDP was a waste,” adding that if elected president, he will ensure that no one is left behind.
When the APC candidate shouted ‘APC’ and ‘Nigeria,’ the people on the campaign trail chanted the name of the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.
A similar incident occurred several weeks ago when the APC held a presidential campaign rally in Adamawa, the PDP candidate’s home state.
Aminu Masari, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, is the APC governor of Katsina.
