The University town of Nsukka has been enmeshed in heavy protest over high cost of fuel in town.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered earlier in the day, all the filling stations in town were shot down owing to threat by unknown gun men to either sell at official pump price of N195 or close shop.
Our source revealed that ” these protesters blocked all the major roads in town, forcing all the motorists to go back to where they come from since there is no fuel for now.”
Our source also explained that ” the protesters who came out in their hundreds were shouting no fuel, no road. They block all the major roads like Barracks junction, OPI/Nsukka road, Enugu road and so many others.”
All efforts to get the reaction of the Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe proved abortive as he was not picking his calls.
