Former Napoli midfielder Gianni Improta is ecstatic about the partnership between Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s partnership has helped Napoli win 18 games, draw twice, and lose only once in 21 games. Their efforts propelled Napoli to the top of Serie A, 13 points ahead of second-placed Inter Milan.
While Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille for an African transfer record fee of €81 million plus add-ons in 2020, the relatively unknown Georgian joined Luciano Spalletti’s team from Dinamo Batumi in July for €10 million.
Despite injuries and other health issues, Nigerian forward Osimhen scored 10 and 14 goals in his first two seasons with Napoli.
This season, he’s formed a terrifying bond with Kvaratskhelia, and their effective combination is a big reason Napoli is on the verge of winning their first league title in more than three decades.
Osimhen has developed into an unstoppable goalscoring powerhouse in the Italian Serie A by utilizing the skills and creativity of Kvaratskhelia, scoring 16 goals in 17 appearances for Naples.
The Georgian playmaker, 21, leads the division in chances created and assists (nine), while the Nigerian striker leads the league with 16 league goals.
“Kravatskhelia and Osimhen form a phenomenal couple,” Improta told Radio Marte, as per Tutto Napoli.
In my opinion, they are the strongest in Europe, as well as among the youngest and, consequently, the one with there’s incredible room for improvement.
We’ll see more of it with these two guys in the next ten years, as long as they let us enjoy them here in Naples. Age, physical strength, generosity, altruism: they have it all. They always improve, game after game, even thanks to Spalletti.
