A fuel tanker explosion has caused a fire at the A. A. Rano gas station, which is situated along the Karu Expressway in Nyanya, in the Federal Capital Territory.
It was discovered that a fuel tanker had arrived at the fuel station to discharge the Premium Motor Spirit before the tanker exploded and set the fuel station on fire.
“The fire incident was caused by a fuel tanker that entered the station to offload fuel,” an eyewitness told our correspondent on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, operatives of the FCT Fire Service are currently at the scene as the fire is being curtailed.
Speaking with newsmen in a telephone interview, the spokesperson for the FCT Fire Service, Amiola Adebayo, said there was no human casualty.
Adebayo said, “The incident is under control as our men quickly swung to action. Also, there’s no human casualty.”
