Neymar was taken off on a stretcher in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 clash with Lille on Sunday.
In a thrilling first half at Parc des Princes, the Brazil star assisted Kylian Mbappe’s opener and put PSG up 2-0.
However, with PSG leading 2-1, Neymar was forced to leave the game early in the second half after colliding with Benjamin Andre and appearing to injure his right ankle.
The 31-year-old was eventually unable to walk away and was clearly distressed as he was carried from the field.
PSG’s woes were compounded when Marco Verratti was found to have fouled Tiago Djalo in the penalty area, with Jonathan David converting from the spot to restore parity.
Neymar’s injury could also present a huge blow to PSG’s Champions League hopes; they trail Bayern Munich 1-0 heading into the second leg of their last-16 tie at Allianz Arena.
There is just under three weeks until that clash on March 8, and Christophe Galtier – who also lost Nuno Mendes to injury in the first half – will be hoping Neymar’s issue is not as serious as it first appeared.
