2023: ADC presidential candidate, Kachikwu kicks as party endorses Obi

Dumebi Kachikwu

The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dumebi Kachikwu, has opposed the endorsement of the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, by his party.

Kachikwu’s party had in the early hours of Monday endorsed Peter Obi, saying that Obi-Datti Movement is a worthy cause to endorse.

Dumebi noted that he would finish the race, saying that he would never endorse anyone.

But in a swift reaction, Kachikwu in a video clip opined: “I have made it very clear that INEC has strong damage and frustrated my ambition, but in any political race it’s never over until it is over.

“We never know what could happen, we have a week to go. I like to say that I had a very difficult campaign because of what happened in my party, my initial plan was to go across Nigeria to talk to Nigerians, but my party was fractionalised and divided, I had no one in most states to represent or receive me wherever I wanted to go to.

“It presented a big problem, my message to Nigerians and when I speak to you guys,I believe I’m speaking to Nigerian as a whole.

“I believe that will help me to propagate my message to Nigerians wherever they may be and I strongly believe that as the event continue to unfold in Nigeria, that Nigerians might wake up and begin to see that they need to go a different direction.

“I have long told you before the election that something will happen, we are seeing that unfold around us today, and I think that whatever will happen, God will use it to redirect Nigerians in a different direction.

“If that will help me as a candidate, I dont know, that was what I prayed for, but I clearly tell you that I’m not out of this race.

“I’m running this race to the very end, if anybody expects that they will hear me before the election say that I as candidate, I am endorsing or I am pushing for another candidate, then the person is making a mistake”.
