Suspected terrorists have bombed the administrative offices of the Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State four days before the general election.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday night when the assailants invaded the area with some explosives.
According to DAILY POST, the State Police Public Relations Officer, William Ovye Aya, who confirmed the incident said the command had commenced an investigation to unravel the cause of the attack.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the Department of State Services (DSS) had detained the perpetrator of the Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) attack that took place in Okene, Kogi State, close to the Palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland during President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to commission some projects.
The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP, had claimed responsibility for the attack that killed about four people and injured several others.
