Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, voted in his 012 Ajiya Ward in Adamawa State’s Yola North Local Government Area.
Atiku was dressed in a white-green babanriga with a matching cap and was accompanied by his first wife, Titi Abubakar.
He departed his home in Dougirie-Jimetta at precisely 9 AM and arrived at his voting location seven minutes later.
Large crowds greeted him, but after squeezing through them to find a spot, he was finally accredited at 9:10 AM.
The former VP, however, cast his vote at 9:15 AM.
Addressing newsmen shortly after casting his vote, Atiku boasted he will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I am very optimistic of victory,” he said.
Atiku, who also spoke on the naira scarcity, said “it is a great step in addressing vote buying across the country.”
