Peter Obi Floors Atiku, Tinubu In Adamawa Polling Unit

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has won a polling unit in Adamawa, the home state of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Obi received the most votes of any key candidate at polling unit 35 in Karewa, Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa state.

Obi received 120 votes, Atiku received 82 votes, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard bearer, Bola Tinubu, received 26 votes. Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) finished third with two votes.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, and Kwakwanso are among the 18 presidential candidates vying to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adewole Adebayo of the Social Democratic Party, SDP; Dumebi Kaachikwu of the African Democratic Congress, ADC; Kola Abiola of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP; and Omoyele Sowere of the African Action Congress, AAC are among those who have expressed interest.

Also in the race are Felix Osakwe, National Rescue Movement NRM; Prof Peter Umeadi, All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA; Dan Nwanyanwu, Zenith Labour Party, ZLP; Oluwafemi Adenuga, Boot Party, BP; Christopher Imumolen, Accord; Hamza Al-Mustapha, Action Alliance, AA; Sani Yabagi Yusuf, African Democratic Party, ADP; Malik Ibrahim Ado, Young Progressive Party, YPP; and Osita Nnadi, Action People’s Party, APP.

Chichi Ojei of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, is the only female candidate vying for the highest political office.
