Abubakar Suleiman, the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly and the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, has won in his local government district of Ningi for Atiku Abubakar
The result of the election held on Saturday which was announced by the Electoral Officer: Nasiru Abdulkarim, indicated that Atiku defeated the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Ahmed Tinubu with 1,032 votes having scored 21,619 votes.
According to the result, Tinubu got APC – 20,587 votes.
The candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Musa Kwankwaso got 4,023 votes while Peter Obi of the Labour Party had 56 votes.
Abdulkarim said that the local government council has 177,152 registered voters while the total voters accredited are: 48,700.
He further said that the total valid votes are 46,649, rejected votes 1,192 and total votes cast are 48,833.
