Labour Party has continued to flex its political muscle in South East as the party has won 7 out of 8 House of Representatives seats in Enugu state.
According to the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, seven House of Reps members have lost their seats to Labour party in the state.
The breakdown of the Labour Party showed that in Nsukka/Igboeze South, Hon. Chidi Mark Obetta was while in Udenu/Igboeze North Hon. Denis Agbo of Labour Party defeated the incumbent, Hon. Simon Atigwe.
Also in Enugu East/Isi-Uzo, Paul Nnamchi defeated the sitting Reps member, Hon. Cornelius Nnaji of PDP just as in Enugu North/Enugu South, Hon. Sam Chima Atuh defeated the incumbent, Hon. Offorchukwu Egbo with wide margin of 65,247 against 7617.
More so, in Aninri/Awgu/Oji River, Chijioke Okereke won under Labour Party while in Igbo-Etiti/Uzo Uwani, Stainless Chijioke Nwodo of Labour party sacked Hon. Oke Martins of PDP to clinch the seat.
In Udi/Ezeagu Hon. Sunday Cyriacus Umeha won for Labour party.
Finally in Nkanu East/West Federal constituency, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji won under PDP.
His victory was hung on his outstanding performance in delivering democracy dividends to his constituency.
