The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has defeated his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, in Jigawa State.
Announcing the result on Monday, Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation officer in the North Western state, Arma-Ya’u Hamisu, said Tinubu garnered 421, 390 to win the election.
Hamisu disclosed that Abubakar of PDP had 386,587 votes, and Obi who had 1,889 votes.
He added that 2, 341,441 voters were registered in the state and 961,670 persons were accredited.
Hamisu said 954,805 votes were cast while 920,531 were returned valid.
Collation and announcement of results are still going on across the country.
