INEC Suspends Collation Of Results In Kebbi As Returning Officer Disappears
Meanwhile, INEC was forced to suspend results collation in Kebbi State earlier this month due to the disappearance of a returning officer.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the returning officer for the Marafa ward in Birnin Kebbi had been missing since around 2 p.m. on Sunday.
He was asked to step aside prior to his disappearance to reconcile some discrepancies in the results figures he brought to the collation center.
However, that was the last we saw of him, with the development holding INEC officials at the collation center hostage and forcing the electoral body to suspend operations.
