Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, has urged the Premier League to penalize Manchester City for allegedly breaking financial rules.
City could face a variety of penalties if they are found guilty of breaking more than 100 rules.
The punishments could be a fine or points deduction to relegation.
Tebas has insisted the English champions deserve punishment for their alleged actions.
“It’s about the reputation and dignity of the Premier League.
“Your global reputation affects your ability to attract sponsorship and sell television rights,” Tebas told reporters at the Financial Times Business of Football Summit on Wednesday.
