Hilda Dokubo, a veteran Nollywood actress, has stated that any Obidient who expects monetary reward is not sincere in their fight for a better country.
Dokubi stated this in Port Harcourt following reports that the party’s suspended chairman in Rivers state, Dienye Pepple, and others were financially induced to take the position.
The thespian noted that supporters of the Labour Party (LP) do not take bribes.
Obidients, according to Dokubo, are a group of people who believe in a new Nigeria, who believe they can do better than the country is providing for them, and who plan to vote their conscience on Saturday.
Dokubo said:
I do not know what they (Pepple) have done what they have done, but as an Obidient, I will like to state clearly that the Obidients are not products that can be bought or sold.
So, if anyone is moving because of whatever reason, you cannot claim to move with the Obidients. There is no one that plays anti-party that is an Obidient.
We vote based on conviction. We vote our conscience. Don’t forget we are still on the journey to reclaiming our mandate. Anything that is not in this interest does not accept or follow it.
