Two suspected Motorbike snatchers have been arrested on Thursday night by Enugu-Ezike Neighborhood Watch in Igbo-Eze North local government area of Enugu state.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the two suspects whose identity are yet to be ascertained at the press time specialized in snatching motorbikes and causing mayhem in the council area during Monday sit-at-home order.
According to our source Godwin Ezeja “they were caught trying to snatch a motorbike at Amachalla community, Enugu-Ezike. However, luck ran out on them when the members of Neighborhood Watch on routine patrol caught up with them struggling with the owner of the motorbike. These are some of the boys who go around stealing motorbikes in the name of enforcing sit-at-home.”
Explaining further, Mr. Ezeja stated that ” we have not been finding it funny here in Igbo-Eze North local government area. Few weeks ago, these suspects came to one of our market, chased some persons away, snatched about five motorbikes and destroyed so many property. We strongly believe that with their apprehension, our council area will heave a sigh of relief.”
WITHIN NIGERIA source equally revealed that they have been handed over to the Divisional Police Headquarters, Ogrute.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer of Enugu state police command, Daniel Ndukwe couldn’t pick up his call for confirmation of the incident.
