Special Counsel to detained Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, has condemned the hostility shown to Igbos in Lagos.
He raged that Lagosians believe that if Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour wins the Lagos election, Igbos will take over the city simply because he is married to an Igbo woman.
He wondered on Twitter why Kenyans did not take over America when Barack Obama was elected president.
He wrote;
Obama, a Kenyan became US President; Kenyans didn’t takeover US. Sunak, an Indian is UK PM; Indians didn’t takeover UK. But if Gbadebo, a Yoruba wins Lagos guber, Igbos will takeover Lagos because he’s married to an Igbo. So, you want Igbos to leave Lagos.
One Nigeria, aloy!
Igbos Will Leave Lagos If Biafra Is Considered
Meanwhile, Ejimakor stated in a series of tweets that Igbos would gladly leave Lagos if a referendum on Biafra were held.
Furthermore, he believes that if a seaport is built in the Southeast and Nigeria is returned to regional autonomy, Ndigbo will leave Lagos.
He wrote;
If you want to expel Igbos from Lagos, do this: Organize referendum on Biafra. Once it’s carried, you will see a voluntary & happy stampede out of Lagos. Or, you build a seaport in Southeast & return Nigeria to regional autonomy as a means to Biafra. Do this & thank me later.
