Terrorists have killed three people, including a village head, and abducted 70 others from six communities in Munya and Paikoro local government areas of Niger State.
It was gathered that the village head of Beni, the son of the village head of Kwagana, and one other were killed in Adunu community in Paikoro local government area.
According to The Nation, a member of the Adunu community in Paikoro, John Lazarus, said the terrorists began the attacks around 8 am on Tuesday and held the communities hostage till 3 pm.
He said that people had to stay in the bush all through the night in fear of another launch of attacks by the terrorists.
Lazarus said the attacks have been sustained in the past three months and the government seems not to be doing anything about it.
The State Commissioner for Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar, and the state police spokesman were yet to respond to inquiries on the attack.
