The final compilation of the outcomes of the governorship House of Assembly elections will be released this morning, Sunday, March 19, 2023, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission in Oyo State.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the election was peaceful with low turnout in virtually all the polling units in the state.
Olayiwola Awolowo, the state’s INEC Public Affairs Officer, announced this at the commission’s Ibadan headquarters but did not cite any justifications.
The collation is expected to commence by 9am.
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has lost his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party in the governorship and House of Assembly elections held yesterday in Nasarawa State.
