In the results of the Governorship and State Assembly elections held by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday, March 18, 2023, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the incumbent governor of Ogun State and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is currently leading candidates of other political parties.

Out of the results from the 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs) that INEC has so far announced, Abiodun has won 11 so far, while his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Ladi Adebutu, has won seven so far.

Barr. Olubiyi Otegbeye, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate backed by Senator Ibikunle Amosun, hasn’t yet won in a local government district in the State.

The electoral commission is, however, expected to announce results of the outstanding two LGAs on Sunday afternoon after a short break.
