It is official the Labor Party Presidential candidate Peter OBI has filed his petition to the presidential elections tribunal in Abuja. The process of reclaiming the people’s mandate has started.

Remember that Peter Obi, who finished third in the election, and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who finished second, are both suing over the results of the February 25 election.

Why Nigerians Refused To Come Out To Vote

The Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has stated that the low turnout in the ongoing governorship and state assembly elections is due to the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.

Obi stated that the results of the presidential election did not reflect the wishes of the people, resulting in voter apathy in the ongoing elections.

On Saturday, he spoke with reporters at his Amatutu polling unit in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State.

He said;

The electorates were discouraged to come to vote because of what happened in the last poll that did not reflect the people’s wish.
