Tukur Mamu, Ex-Terrorist Negotiator Arraigned On 10 Counts

Ex-terrorist negotiator Mr. Tukur Mamu will be charged with ten counts, including financing terrorism, by the Federal Government today.

Mamu will be arraigned before Judge Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court in Abuja by the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) on behalf of the Federal government.

According to reports, Justice Nkeonye Maha of a sister court gave the Department of State Services (DSS) permission to detain the former terrorists’ negotiator for 60 days on September 13, 2022. Mamu was in charge of negotiating with the terrorists for the release of the Abuja-Kaduna train passengers who had been kidnapped in March 2022, and the DSS needed this time to complete its investigation.

The charge was signed by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation, Mr M.B. Abubakar.
