Former Education Minister Oby Ezekwesili has slammed Festus Keyamo, the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, over the petition against Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi and his vice, Datti Baba-Ahmed.
WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the APC campaign alleged in a petition letter dated March 23, 2023, that Peter Obi and Datti Baba-post-election Ahmed’s utterances and conduct bordered on incitement and treasonable felony.
Festus Keyamo, Minister of Labour and Employment, stated on Thursday via his Twitter handle that the APC council’s call for peace and national healing is not a sign of weakness.
The petition comes just hours after Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed declared that there is no president-elect in Nigeria.
Oby Ezekwesili responded on Twitter, saying Keyamo’s petition is aimed at destabilizing Nigeria, and he asked the APC if the country is a joke to them.
She said;
I saw a ludicrous piece of nonsense by a Minister in the @NigeriaGov of @NGRPresident @MBuhari, stoking the embers of destabilization of Nigeria by goading and inciting @OfficialDSSNG to arrest the @NgLabour Presidential Candidate and his VP. Is Nigeria a Comedy to you folks?
Let me tell @OfficialDSSNG @NigeriaGov @NGRPresident and the leaders of the ruling Party @OfficialAPCNg about a very wise saying of our neighbors, the Ghanaians: If no one advises you, advise yourself. A word is sufficient to prevent foolishness.
