Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has expressed sadness over the death of one of his commissioners, Usman Suleiman.
The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, who was in charge of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, died on Friday after an illness.
Tambuwal described him as a devout Muslim and a hardworking official who performed well in all the ministries he led.
The governor condoled with the government and the people of the state, particularly the family and close associates of Suleiman.
Tambuwal further prayed for the repose of his soul, and beseeched Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannah firdaus as final abode.
The remains of the traditional title holder of Danmadamin Isa had been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
In attendance at his burial were Deputy Governor Mannir Dan’iya, Secretary to the Government Mainasara Ahmad, Head of Service Abubakar Dan-Shehu and State PDP Chairman Bello Goronyo, among others.
