Festus Keyamo, the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, has responded to the suspension of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, from the party.

WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that Ayu had been suspended with immediate effect by the party’s Executive Committee in Igyorov Ward of Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.

Banger Dooyum, the committee secretary, revealed Ayu’s suspension from the party.

Dooyum claims that Ayu was suspended for anti-party activities following a vote of no confidence in him.

He also claimed that Ayu’s anti-party activities during the state’s governorship election led to the party’s defeat in his ward and local government area.

The PDP’s National Chairman was also accused of failing to pay his annual dues, as required by the party’s constitution.

The documents endorsing Ayu’s suspension were signed by twelve of the seventeen exco members.

In a post on his Twitter account on Sunday, Keyamo responded to the development by claiming that drama has begun in the PDP.

He wrote;

Ghen, ghen!!! Drama don start! Make una bring pop-corn for me, abeg!!
