A former grand Khadi of Shari’a Court of Appeal, Ilorin, Kwara State, Justice AbdulMutalib Ambali, is dead.
Ambali died in the early hours of Thursday in his Ilorin country home at the age of 83.
The news of the demise of the great Islamic scholar and community leader was announced by the secretary of Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, Ilorin branch, Alh Ibrahim Alanamu, in a statement issued on Thursday.
Alanamu said the funeral prayer for the deceased will be held at his Agbojulogun family residence, Okekere, Ilorin at 4.30pm on Thursday.
“On behalf of Khalifatul Adabiyy and Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, we announce the death of Retired Justice AbdulMutalib Ambali. The janazah ( funeral) prayer will hold by 4:30pm after Asr prayer today, Thursday, 30th March 2023 (8th Ramadan 1444) at Agbojulogun compound,Okekere,Ilorin.
“May Allah rewards a great icon,legend, jurisprudence in Islamic law, one of the strogest leaders of Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria,a teacher, publisher,school proprietor,local, national and international awardee; and producer of Radio Kwara Sunnat Nabiy, Retired Justice AbdulMutalib Ambali with Aljanat Firdaus and take care of all he left behind,” Alanamu added.
Until his death, Ambali was the chairman of Muhammad Kamaldeen Education Foundation (MUKEF) saddled with the responsibility of raising fund for the completion of the proposed Muhammad Kamaldeen University, Ogidi, Ilorin, Kwara State.
