On Thursday, Kashim Shettima, the vice president-elect, traveled to Minna, Niger State, to meet with General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (ret. ), the former military president.
When they arrived at the IBB’s hilltop residence, they both entered a private meeting.
At at 3.30 p.m., the Vice President-elect left the IBB palace and went to see Alhaji Umar Farouk Bahago, the Emir of Minna.
Details of the two engagements by Shettima are yet unknown, but it learned that the vice president-elect may spend the night in Minna, the capital of the Power State, to meet with a number of interest groups before the handover date of May 29.
