Dr Sam Amadi, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has declared his intention and readiness to run for the Imo State gubernatorial seat in 2023.
On Friday, Amadi, a popular analyst on Arise TV, said in a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle, “The courageous life is a life lived in the practise and defence of truth.”
“Dream of NEW IMO. Don’t mind those who are frightened because the people are up to choose the person who can best serve them. Let’s move on with the NEW IMO.”
Confirming to newsmen in an interview on Friday, Amadi stated that he would be contesting under the umbrella of the Labour Party(LP)
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has scheduled the governorship election in Imo alongside Kogi and Bayelsa states for November 11, 2023.
