APC expels national official in Bauchi over alleged anti-party activities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Gamawa Local Government chapter in Bauchi State expelled an ex-officio member of the party, Alhaji Sirajo Dada, on Saturday for alleged anti-party activities.

The decision to expel the ruling party’s national officer was made at an emergency meeting of the party’s executive council in the local government area.

Ahmed Saleh Super, the APC chairman in Gamawa LGA, announced Dada’s expulsion from the party, saying that the party could not fold its arms and condone acts of indolence, indiscipline, and betrayal by its members, no matter how high-placed in society.

Super claimed that Dada worked against the interests of the APC in the area during the recently concluded general elections, and that the national ex-officio was caught campaigning for PRP candidates in elections in which the ruling party fielded candidates.

According to him, Dada was caught at one of the polling units during the presidential and national assembly elections asking voters not to vote for APC candidates and soliciting votes for the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP)’s House of Representatives candidate for the federal constituency.

“We are here today to announce to you that the executives of the APC in Gamawa LGA have expelled Alhaji Sirajo Dada from the party here in Gamawa LGA.

“He worked against the success of the party (APC) during the last 2023 general elections by campaigning for candidates of the PRP and we have evidence to prove what we are saying,” the chairman said.
