The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies’ (NILDS) Director General, Abubakar Sulaiman, has been again appointed for a second term by Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
Joke Akinsanmi, the NILDS’s deputy director of information, communication, and protocol, made the announcement in a statement that was released on Friday in Abuja.
The statement claims that after speaking with House Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, Mr. Lawan, the Chairman of the NILDS Governing Council, renewed Mr. Suleiman’s appointment.
Mr Sulaiman’s fresh appointment will take effect from 28 May.
Mr Sulaiman, a former Minister of Budget and National Planning under former President Goodluck Jonathan, was appointed the DG of NILDS in June 2019 by the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
