Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the recently concluded election, has reacted to the death of Kambilichukwu, the son of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie.
WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Kambilichukwu fell unconscious and was rushed to the clinic for medical attention but all efforts by the Doctors to resuscitate him proved abortive.
According to reports, the boy had a seizure while playing football with his classmates at school and was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital. He did not, unfortunately, survive.
Peter Obi expressed his condolences on Twitter, saying that the death of a loved one is painful and that the Edochie family is in their thoughts and prayers.
The former Anambra State governor also prayed to God to give the bereaved family the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
He wrote:
I send my most sincere condolences to Yul and May Edochie, over the death of their beloved first son Kambilichukwu. Death of a loved one, is always a painful experience, moreso that of a son.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Edochie Family, as we ask God to strengthen and comfort Kambilichukwu’s parents, his doting grandfather Pete Edochie and the entire Edochie family.
May God Almighty give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, and grant Kambilichukwu eternal rest in his kingdom.
