Graham Potter has been fired as manager of Chelsea after less than seven months in charge, and the Blues are currently occupying the dismal 11th spot in the Premier League.
It follows their embarrassing 2-0 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday, which saw Potter, who joined the club from Brighton less than seven months ago, win just 12 of his 31 games in command.
The club will be led by temporary manager Bruno Saltor, who joined Potter in moving from Brighton to Stamford Bridge as a member of his backroom staff.
A statement on behalf of co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali said: ‘On behalf of everyone at the club, we want to thank Graham sincerely for his contribution to Chelsea.
We have the highest degree of respect for Graham as a coach and as a person. He has always conducted himself with professionalism and integrity and we are all disappointed in this outcome
