Remo Stars have been docked three points and three goals for assaulting match referee Ndubuisi Ukah during their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 12 match against Gombe United last weekend.
The Interim Management Committee (IMC) also fined the Sky Blue team for disrupting the game.
The game at the Remo Stars Stadium was called off at halftime after match officials refused to leave the dressing room, citing an assault by home fans as their reason.
The game, which ended 0-0, was completed on Monday morning.
The IMC also sanctioned Remo Stars for their failure to provide adequate security for the match officials.
The club will pay a fine of ₦1.25m while their general manager has been suspended from all NPFL activities.
The fine is expected to be paid within seven working days.
Remo Stars is expected to accept the ruling of the IMC or elect to appear before a Disciplinary Panel.
