The National Population Commission has provided an update on the census for 2023.
According to the Commission, all plans are to begin building numbering and household listing by April 17, before the actual census exercise begins in May.
It also stated that five enumerator training days would be held from April 25 to 30, 2023.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Alhaji Sa’eed Yusuf, the Kwara state Director of NPC, revealed this on Wednesday in Ilorin.
Yusuf stated that the building numbering and household listing would be done on a national scale.
He also stated that due to logistical issues, the training of enumerators for this year’s Census could not take place on the earlier scheduled date of March 31, 2023.
“There will be five days of training for enumerators and supervisors between April 25 and 30 in their respective Local Government Areas for the success of the exercise,” Yusuf said.
