Nigeria now more authoritarian after Tinubu’s victory – Sam Amadi

The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Dr. Sam Amadi has asserted that Nigeria has plunged further into the abyss of impunity and authoritarianism since the president-elect, Bola Tinubu was declared winner of the February 25 presidential election.

He made the assertion in a terse statement on his Twitter handle on Monday.

The political analyst and social commentator lamented that the development is frightening and disturbing.

Amadi further alleged that what he described as a “form of political illegitimacy” was responsible, and that it brings anxiety.

He wrote, “It is frightening that Nigeria has become more authoritarian since @officialABAT was declared President-Elect. Nothing explains this irony than a certain form of political illegitimacy and the anxiety it brings.”
