Despite Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, manager Erik ten Hag criticised his players’ finishing.
The victory allowed Manchester United to overtake Newcastle in the Premier League standings.
United scored thanks to goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot, but the coach expected more from his team.
“[My] only criticism is the score has to be higher, 3-0 or 4-0.
“We missed a couple of chances. We want to kill the game early so it is always important, with so many chances you have to score,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports.
United managed 22 shots during the match compared to Forest’s six, but just eight were on target.
