Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, and Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, the deputy governor-elect, have each received their certificates of return from Abuja.
At its national headquarters on Wednesday about 5 o’clock, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) gave the certificates to the freshly re-elected governor and his new deputy.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party was proclaimed the winner on Tuesday by the returning officer, Muhammad Melee, after receiving 430,861 votes to defeat Aisha Binani of the All Progressives Congress, who received 398,788.
This is a developing story…
