Tension in Delta LGA as petrol-laden tanker falls, spills content

After a gas truck accident, there is dread in the Udu local government region of Delta State.

According to reports, the petrol-filled truck toppled on top of the Udu bridge, splashing its contents all over the area.

As a result of the threat of an explosion or fire, road users and businesspeople who conduct their operations beneath the Udu bridge have started to leave the area.

According to reports, the gasoline truck blocked the bridge, preventing drivers from reaching the Sedco section of the town.

Those returning from Ovwian, Owase, Jigbale axis have also been denied access following the spill.

It is not clear what led to the fall of the petrol tanker at the time of this report.

According to Daily Post who was at the scene reports that there’s now a serious gridlock on top of the bridge.

Some road users are now forced to take alternative routes to their destinations
