Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of Mr Wasiu Kuye as a Permanent Secretary in the state civil service.
Also appointed is Mukaila Adebola Lawal as Board Secretary for the State Universal Basic Education Board.
This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kunle Somorin in Abeokuta.
Somorin said the new appointees would fill the existing vacancies in the public service.
According to him, seniority, merit, professionalism, and inclusiveness were considered in appointing the new permanent secretaries.
The CPS said the governor relied on the provision of Section 208 (c) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) for the appointments.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Mr Wasiu Kuye, was until his appointment, Board Secretary, SUBEB.
Mr Kuye, a thoroughbred Education Officer has worked in many Zonal Education Offices before his was appointed Executive Secretary in April 2017.
To replace him as Executive Secretary, SUBEB is Mr Lawal Mukaila, who was a substantive Director at the Board.
Mr Lawal hails from Abeokuta South Local Government and holds two Masters Degrees in Public Administration and Language Arts. He is a seasoned Educationist and Administrator of 33 years standing.

Somorin said the governor, while congratulating the appointees, urged them to brace up for the challenges of their positions and apply themselves diligently to the “Building Our Future Together” agenda of his administration.
