Operatives of the anti-kidnapping unit of the Katsina State Police Command have killed two alleged terrorists and recovered two AK47 rifles.
The State Police spokesman, CSP Gambo Isah, who disclosed this in a statement said the policemen intercepted the gang of terrorists at 12:30 am when the suspected criminals were about to kidnap a businessman in the state.
Isah added that members of the gang were on its wanted list.
The police further stated that one of the suspects killed, identified as Samaila Shehu of Tsaunni Kura village, in the Malumfashi Local Government Area of the state, had been arrested and arraigned before a court in 2020.
The PPRO added, “Nemesis caught up with the suspects when they were on their way to commit their heinous mission of kidnapping a renowned businessman in the state and met their Waterloo. Two suspected terrorists were neutralised and two AK47 rifles were recovered.”
