Ralf Rangnick, a former interim manager for Manchester United, has explained why Erik ten Hag’s team has performed so well this year.
After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired at the halfway point of the previous season, Rangnick was named manager of Man United for the remainder of the campaign.
But at the start of the current campaign, Ten Hag took over as the official head coach.
Man United have improved significantly under Ten Hag’s guidance, winning 37, drawing eight, and losing nine of the 54 games they have played so far this season.
The Red Devils have won the Carabao Cup already this season and are also in the final of the FA Cup and could finish in the top four in the Premier League this term.
Speaking about Man United’s performances under Ten Hag, Rangnick said: “They [Man United] have a very good coach, Erik ten Hag, so it isn’t that surprising that they finish in the top 4 this year.
“And now, in the FA Cup final against [Manchester] City, they even have the possibility of winning a second title.
“They brought in a lot of players. Other players who back then were not able to perform for various reasons are now back in top form again.”
