Alejandro Garnacho, a young player for Manchester United, has made it clear that he wants manager Erik ten Hag to give him the renowned No. 7 jersey.
The final legend to don the No. 7 jersey at Old Trafford was Cristiano Ronaldo.
Following a confrontation with ten Hag, Ronaldo left the team in November 2022, just before the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Garnacho made his debut for the Red Devils in their 1-1 Premier League draw against Chelsea under Ralf Rangnick in April 2022.
He has scored four goals in 29 appearances across competitions for the former Premier League title holders.
The Argentine was rewarded with a new deal last week and the youngster has hinted at a desire to take on the famed No. 7 shirt.
The 18-year-old suggested that he’s ready to wear the iconic jersey by liking a tweet from a fan that said: “Give Garnacho the 7 shirt.”
