Lionel Messi will make less money at Barcelona if he leaves Paris Saint-Germain, according to La Liga President Javier Tebas.
When his current contract expires this summer, Messi is expected to leave the Ligue 1 champions.
Following an unapproved trip to Saudi Arabia, PSG this week suspended the Argentina captain.
It is thought that Messi’s connection to the French team has ended.
Tebas has since stated that the La Liga team must also sell players for a profit if Messi is to return to Barcelona.
“If Barça signs Leo Messi, his salary will be less than what it is at Paris Saint-Germain.
“His return is now conditional on selling players. I think that Barça will get a good amount from selling players this summer,” Tebas said.
