Update: Drug dealer arrested for stabbing mother to death in Kano

A drug dealer, Ibrahim Musa, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing his 50-year-old mother, Hajara, to death at the Rimin Kebbe Quarters, Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The state police spokesman, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, confirmed the arrest of the 22-year-old drug dealer to journalists on Friday.

Kiyawa said, “On May 4, 2023, around 10 pm, Ibrahim Musa, 22, was arrested at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, Kano State, after stabbing his 50-year-old biological mother to death at Rimin Kebbe Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.

“The suspect, who confessed to committing the crime, also admitted to dealing in illicit drugs. He will be charged on completion of investigation.”

The State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Gumel, had on Wednesday deployed a crack team of police officers to arrest Ibrahim after he allegedly stabbed his mother to death during a disagreement.
