Two suspected armed robbers have been arrested in warri, police in Delta State have said.
The suspects, Eddy Aboyowa (m) age 37 years and Akpani Isaiah, (m) age 35 years, were arrested by the Anti-Crime Patrol team of the “A” Division on a visibility and confidence building patrol in Warri and its environs.
The Police also recovered from the two suspects, who reside on Efejuku Street off Deco Road, Warri, thirty (30) rounds of 7.62 AK47 live ammunition during a search.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Wale Abass confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe.
The Police image maker said, “During the patrol, the team intercepted a tricycle along Eagle roundabout by Ogunu bridge, conveying three occupants and subjected them to a search.”
He explained that it was during the search that the items were recovered from two of the passengers.
DSP Edafe noted that the suspects are in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
