President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Digital Communications, Bashir Ahmad, has provided a list of some of the initiatives and policies that would be remembered when he leaves office.
Despite fierce resistance to the transfer, Buhari is anticipated to give over power to Bola Tinubu on May 29, 2023.
In a tweet on Thursday, Ahmad said the outgoing president will be remembered for “Legislative Reforms, Executive Orders, Infrastructure: Rail, Roads, Air and Sea Ports, Power, Housing, Water Resources, Ease of Doing Business Reforms, and Digital Economy & Digital Identity.”
He listed others to include, “Oil and Gas reforms, Solid Minerals, Agricultural revolution, Social Investment and Poverty Alleviation, Education and Health, and Fiscal, Trade, Monetary and Investment Reforms.”
He also mentioned “Support to States, Creative Industry and Sports, Niger Delta Development, Anti-Corruption and Transparency, Law Enforcement, and Security and Justice Reform, Diplomacy and International Relations, Bilateral Highlights, International Appointments Held By Nigerians, and Coronavirus Response.”
