Goalkeeper David De Gea of Manchester United may be playing his football in Spain next season, according to Arsenal icon David Seaman, if he and the Red Devils are unable to come to an agreement.
Seaman said that De Gea would not want to play for any club in England when he leaves Manchester United but would return to Spain.
There is uncertainty over the future of De Gea, 31, who has struggled this season.
The Spaniard has kept 23 clean sheets in 53 games this season, an outstanding number, but the goalkeeper has also made four errors leading directly to goals.
His current deal runs out at the end of the season, Seaman is interested in what becomes of the player next season, as he discussed his future on his Seaman Says podcast.
“De Gea to Spurs? I’ve not even thought of that.
“If I’m honest I can’t see De Gea staying here, I would imagine he’d go to Spain or go abroad again,” he said.
